Meet Tara
Helping people have better workplace conversations.
For most of my career, I've worked alongside leaders, managers and employees navigating someof the most challenging workplace situations imaginable.
I've investigated complaints, supported leaders through difficult decisions, coached managers, delivered training, and helped organisations respond to complex employee relations issues acrosshealthcare, higher education and human services.
Again and again, I noticed the same pattern. Very few workplace conflicts began as crises. Mostbegan as conversations that never happened. Small misunderstandings became assumptions.Assumptions became frustration. Frustration became damaged relationships. By the time formalprocesses were introduced, people often felt unheard, defensive, or convinced the relationshipcould never recover.
That observation became the foundation for DoHRWell.
Why I created DoHRWell.
I didn't create DoHRWell because organisations needed another HR consultancy.
I created it because I believe many workplace conflicts can be addressed earlier, more constructively, and with far less personal and organisational cost.
Conflict itself isn't the problem. Poor communication is. When people develop the confidence to have difficult conversations respectfully, communicate assertively, listen openly, and better understand one another's perspectives, conflict becomes an opportunity for learning rather than something to fear or avoid.
That's the philosophy that guides every coaching conversation, mediation, facilitation session and training workshop I deliver.

What you can expect.
Whether we're working together through coaching, mediation, facilitation or training, my approach is
always the same.
• People deserve to be heard.
• Communication can almost always be improved.
• Conflict should be addressed before it becomes a crisis.
• Practical solutions matter more than theoretical models.
• Better communication creates stronger workplaces.
I won't promise that every conflict can be resolved. I will promise to help people communicate more
effectively, think more clearly, and move forward with greater confidence.
Outside of work.
I'm fascinated by communication—why it succeeds, why it breaks down, and how people can
rebuild it.
When I'm not working with organisations, you'll usually find me developing new training materials,
writing about workplace conflict, exploring new ideas through books and research, or creating the
illustrated learning experiences that have become a hallmark of DoHRWell.
Let's state a conversation.
Every organisation is different. Every conflict is different.
If you'd like to explore whether DoHRWell is the right fit for your organization, I'd be delighted to arrange a free, no-obligation consultation.
